Director, Partner Development, Microsoft Canada

Rekha Rao-Mayya is the Country Manager for Microsoft Canada’s Partner ecosystem and focuses on partners whose core business is System Integration and/or Advisory services. In her role, she owns strategy, sales, partner engagement and growth for Canada’s leading System integrators. Her key objective is to represent Microsoft to the partner ecosystem, effectively communicate product and business strategy, bring clarity to Microsoft’s vision and bring partners along in the digital transformation journey.  

She is considered a thought leader in crafting best practices that produce measurable impact across teams, while creating a positive and fun culture. As an accomplished senior leader, Rekha has received many accolades inside and outside Microsoft, including Microsoft’s prestigious Founder’s Award for outstanding leadership. She leads Microsoft Canada’s Gender diversity initiatives and sits on the Women@Microsoft Board, as the leader for International chapters and policy.

Outside of work, she has several passion projects, two of which are supporting STEM initiatives for women and girls in the community and volunteering every Sunday for a meal and support service for the elderly. She is the chair for the Toronto Chapter of Women in Communications & Technology and an advisor to the board for several not-for-profit organizations. In 2019, she was recognized as the “Diversity Champion of the Year – 2019” in WCT’s Annual Leadership awards and by CSPN as the “Diversity Leader”.
